Xiaoyang leads the data science and data engineering organisation at Riot Games. The team specializes in developing machine learning and AI solutions to deliver meaningful and lasting experiences to League of Legends players worldwide. Prior to Riot, Xiaoyang worked at Blizzard where he helped multiple game studios to build machine learning solutions for design and business decisions as well as player-facing features. Xiaoyang holds a Ph.D. in computational vision from UCLA. His research focused on computational models in visual perception, computer vision, and machine learning.
