At Samsung, it’s important to be bold. Bold in ideas, actions and desire to achieve. Overcoming barriers has shaped my ability to be bold. My role, in large part is about helping people breakout of that limiting mindset.

Dowhatyoucant eloquently expresses our brand purpose for customers, and succinctly describes our people ethos too. I started the journey of overcoming my barriers as a young student at school in London where I met a brilliant man who inspired me through teaching.

"No such thing as bad student, only bad teacher. Teacher say, student do." said someone famous. Within 11 months of meeting that man (my teacher that is, not Mr. Miyagi), I was doing a math degree at a top university in the UK.

People mistakenly think math is about numbers. It’s actually mind training for problem solving, and because math is the language of nature, music, chemistry, economics, marketing, their problems are presented in the context of their solution; and here are a few that I’ve worked on in the past:
