Clara Lee is a widely recognized leader who can turn confusion into clarity, and transform old into new. While she mostly played the role of a senior IT leader in her career, she exhibited her capability in managing different functions that exceeded far beyond her duties as an IT leader.
Ms. Clara Lee was the IT Vice President of Johnson Controls International (JCI), based in Shanghai, responsible for IT transformation in the Asia Pacific region, focus on systems and data harmonization, steering B2B and B2b digital initiatives in the Asia Pacific, particularly in China.
Prior to JCI, Clara was the CIO of DSM Materials, Innovation and Food Specialties. She has extensive global and regional management experience. Spending at least 50% of her time outside of Singapore, she leads teams from Asia, Americas, and Europe to serve as the strategic interface with business groups to derive business technology strategy development, solution discovery and service management. She is instrumental in establishing global information governance and cultivating intelligence-based culture to drive business improvement. A digital transformation advocate, she actively connects enterprise with starts-up communities, introduced experimental programs and explore partnerships.
Before joining DSM in 2012, Clara Lee was the Vice President/CIO of Lafarge Asia, led a centralized IT Shared Services servicing 13 countries. Besides leading regional and global projects, she was responsible in integrating new businesses in China and India. Clara Lee has later moved to business operation as Vice President/Director of Supply Chain of Lafarge Indonesia, creating a significant impact in business growth.
Currently, Clara is playing an interim role as a CEO of an AI start-up Innosenze, commercializing a deep tech academic research to address innovation needs in enterprises
