The Big Data & Machine Learning Summit, hosted by Forward Leading Ltd., is coming to Hong Kong on December 6 & 7 at the InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong, an award-winning 5-star hotel.
This Summit has been successfully hosted in Sydney, Boston and Singapore throughout the past year and will be returning to Asia for the 3rd time. In today’s world, data rules all. The latest technologies have changed how companies see their customers, created new departments to interpret information and influenced operational structures. Dattaraj Rao, the Principal Architect from GE Transportation will describe concept of Digital Twin with respect to the Railway Network. During this talk, real customer use-case videos will be shown that demonstrate Analytics on videos from Locomotive-mounted cameras with Deep Learning models to calculate THI and display on a map for driving Maintenance decisions. Michal Szczecinski, the Head of Analytics and Data Science from GoGoVan will showcase how GoGoVan build data services that enable improvement of core aspects of our business.
  • Advanced Data Analytics
Korey Lee, Director of Data Analytics and Insights from South China Morning Post will give us exclusive insights into the company’s strategy to harness data-driven decision & automation. Topics he would cover include: Data analysis, insights & automated recommendations, Centralised data warehouse & ETL processes and Put in place a “Growth Team”. Tejas Shah, IT Director, Business Intelligence from L'Oréal will be talking about how to make your organisation more customer centric by interrogating social intelligence.
  • Data Science Applications
Data science is a tool that has been applied to many problems in the modern workplace. As computer systems develop and are fed by data, an increasing number of tasks are becoming automated with minimal human intervention. Hien Luu, Engineering Manager from LinkedIn, will be sharing a case study on how they use recommender systems to create personalized experiences for customers and Joni Zhong, Research Scientist from National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology will introduce their studies on the cross-model and develop the cognitive abilities of the robots.
  • Fintech
Banks across the globe are embracing big data and machine learning to shape their business practices and services. Peter Clark, Chief Information Officer from Standard Chartered Bank will deliver a presentation on how AI, DLT and biometrics will impact banks. Jayatu Sen Chaudhury, VP, Global Commercial and Merchant Data Science from American Express will discuss how Amex has adopted Big Data and it core processes in risk, fraud, marketing analytics and operations.
